Hello and Happy New Year! My holiday was spent relaxing. After joining some friends for a glass of Prosecco at five, I returned home by nine and was in my pajamas by ten. Holidays can be fun in warm climates but with so much rain here it meant more time spent indoors than out.
As I ease back into regular content creation this year, you can expect more of the same from me – space reveals, DIY projects, resource roundups, travel stories and other reflections on life will continue. At the end of this week I am returning to Florida in preparation for renting our house from mid January through mid May; therefore I have completed several projects while our family was visiting during Thanksgiving to complete these preparations; these included remodeling the electric fireplace as well as adding woven chairs and coffee table to our living room (we received our sofa next week!).
Wall sconces were something I desired for the walls but did not want to pay an electrician to install wired fixtures at this time. Instead, I opted for battery operated wall sconces to add just a little extra illumination when reading at night or sitting by the fire.
