Lowe’s wood aisle has always been my source of creativity. They offer a wonderful variety of short poplar pieces in various sizes that give me ideas, like these table leg candlesticks made last year or basket planters created more recently.
I came across a chunky 3×3″ piece and thought, if I wrapped this in marble contact paper it might make them appear as high end marble candle holders on a budget. While I liked this look I wanted a trio with different heights.
These candle holders boast high end looks at an economical cost to you! I created them by covering wood cut at various lengths with black marble contact paper and topping it off with spray painted copper caps (compared to versions such as this and this, which cost much more.).
