Springtime is my absolute favorite season! Everything outdoors comes back to life and the fresh growth can be truly inspirational. On my dining room table I have an assortment of plants that thrive in indirect sunlight – it makes an eye-catching statement, is near our front door, and provides low maintenance growing space!
As I wanted to save money by propagating some of my indoor plants myself, but didn’t like the look of test tube glass propagation trays, I purchased elegant bud vases from Target for this task and placed them all together on a little brass tray.
Since four weeks have gone by and I have changed out the water once every week, roots have begun to surface which signal to me that it’s time for transfer into a fresh soil environment – exciting news!
Glass can be fascinating because its transparency enables one to witness roots emerge slowly, like watching roots sprout out from underneath an elementary school windowsill during science class experiments. I find the slow unfolding of their growth quite captivating! Reminiscent of elementary school science experiments where we would set up similar science experiments. π
My dining room table looked more elegant with these heavy bottom glass vases with subtle amber hue.
Alternatives to science experiments in test tube glass could include colorful or shapely bud vases arranged on a tray or flat surface to propagate plants in your home, as an elegant and colorful alternative. Wedding supply sites will often sell these interesting collections; simply searching online will reveal plenty of options as well.
