Last month I marked twelve years with this blog! Since February 2009 I started it just for fun and to document our house remodel, but after two years it had become my full-time career as I began making money through advertising sales of my content. Since then I’ve written editorial content for magazines, partnered with numerous brands, remodeled a few houses, and discussed design related favorites on here – happy twelve year anniversary to me!
As an artist and content creator, I love exploring fabric design and making things with it. Like all creators, content creators like myself often feel pressure to come up with fresh new ideas to keep readers coming back – yet many times we forget our archives can hold valuable inspiration too! So today I’m taking a trip down memory lane by revisiting some projects from years gone by; some even close to 10 years old! Looking back makes me smile; these projects may have more modern fabrics now, but they remain great ideas nonetheless.
Some projects require sewing machines, but my philosophy has always been that anyone who can sew a straight line can also sew these projects.
