As I’ve previously mentioned, my current obsession is sculpting with clay. After enrolling in an eight week ceramics class and being inspired to form it into shapes with my hands is becoming quite an obsession for me!
My goal was to design a candelabra that was both simple and organic in its form for holiday table settings. I used a branch as the base and created its form using air dry clay sculpting tools.
Grapevine branches cost $40 or more each, so I decided to purchase two small bird perches and secure them together with hot glue instead. Utilizing existing branches as my base saved me from having to create my own structure from scratch.
