I first learned about jesmonite about a month ago after seeing several products created with it on Instagram. Unfortunately, as this material isn’t sold here in America I haven’t seen many people working with it here yet.
Jesmonite is an acrylic resin composite which combines water-based resin liquid with reactive powder material for an impressively versatile material that will mimic any silicone mold and can even be colored and textured to simulate stone surfaces.
As soon as I discovered it, I was so drawn in that I decided to order some. Once my Jesmonite Kit arrived, I used silicone molds for these projects: both the terrazzo tray and tealight candle holders.
