Yesterday I returned from an overnight road trip with my daughter – we drove along the Northern California coastline up to Mendocino County and spent the night at a B&B there. I wanted to experience something new while spending quality time with her; our coastal road trip proved the ideal solution to our cabin fever!
As we arrived, the sun was out, while by the time we left in the afternoon it had turned foggy. Northern California beaches don’t always enjoy such sunny conditions, whereas their Southern counterparts often feature guaranteed sunshine all year long – our coastal weather can change hour-by-hour or day-by-day, yet that only adds to its charm! Certainly some vistas look straight out of a “Best of California” travel guide!
My whole life I have resided in Northern California. While I had traveled east towards Sacramento and Tahoe as well as most of the southern regions, this trip marked the first time I ventured this far north along California’s coastline – what took so long?!
